Grafton Firefighters 43rd Tag Sale
Among the many traditional Fall events that people look forward to is the Grafton Firefighters’ Tag Sale. Now in its 43rd year benefitting our local volunteer fire department. The sale has become well known in Southern Vermont for its variety and quality, as well as the many bargains it offers. This year’s sale will be on Saturday, October 12 from 9-3 and on Sunday, October 13 from 9-1 under the tents at Grafton Fire & Rescue, 711 Route 121 just east of Grafton Village.
Locals and visitors alike arrive early waiting for the fire engine air horn to signal the opening of the sale. Search through the well organized displays of furniture, housewares, tools, toys, linens, small appliances, books, recordings, and much more. People have been known to return and shop the next day when most everything is half price. The first day of the sale will also feature a food booth by the Grafton School PTG serving hot coffee, baked goods, burgers and more. Fire engines will be on display and volunteer firefighters will be on hand to answer questions. The sale will go on rain or shine.
Donations of goods for the sale can be brought to the Firehouse from September 23 – October 5. Look for specifics about acceptable items in the Grafton News and on the Grafton Fire and Rescue Facebook page and check there for sale updates after mid August.
