Our backyards are brimming with plants that have been used medicinally for many hundreds of years.  But how do we identify those beneficial plants and turn them into medicine?  Join local biologist, Allison Turner, Ph.D., on this gentle walk through the Chapman Meadow and hear all sorts of fascinating information about our local wildflowers like Cleavers (Galium aparine), Bee Balm (Monarda sp.), and Raspberries (Rubus strigosus).  After lunch, Allison will share her experience with making herbal extracts and you’ll get the chance to make your very own to take home.
